Movement Fest Romania is an international dance competition organized by ACS Star Gym Bistrița, now in its 6th edition. The event brings together thousands of dancers from across Romania and beyond, providing an exceptional stage for young and established talents.
The competition takes place at the Bistrița Multipurpose Hall and covers a wide range of dance styles — from classical ballet and contemporary, to modern-jazz, lyrical and open dance. Alongside the competition, we organize workshops with renowned artists and summer dance camps.

Baranyai Lussya Tatiana
Coregraf și pedagog cu peste 20 de ani de experiență. Fostă gimnastă a lotului național de gimnastică ritmică, licențiată la Roma în dans contemporan. Deține gradele 1 și 2 în pedagogia dansului, este arbitru de gimnastică ritmică și arbitru internațional cu peste 40 de competiții jurizate.
Workshops take place on October 24–25, 2026, in parallel with the competition. Detailed schedule and workshop registration will be available when competition registrations open.

Themed Dance
Story-driven choreographies with costumes and thematic staging.
National / International Folklore
Traditional Romanian dances and international folklore — authentic costumes, rhythm and culture.
Modern
Modern dance with contemporary technique and expressiveness, blending classical and current elements.
Latino
Salsa, merengue, bachata, cha-cha and other Latin styles — passion, rhythm and pure energy on stage.
Show Dance
Spectacular choreographies with elements of theatre, acrobatics and dance — an explosive combination of energy and scenic creativity.
Special Dance & Para Dance
For dancers with special needs or disabilities. Here, the only rule is emotion! They may participate alongside therapists or volunteers.

INTERNATIONAL JURY
The competition is evaluated by a jury of top professionals from Romania and Europe, with vast experience in dance and choreography.
Maria Bavela
Internationally renowned dance choreographer and pedagogue, with a career spanning over 20 years on European stages.

George Postelnicu
Professional choreographer with over 30 years of experience in the dance world. National and international judge, dance competition organiser. Decorated with the Knight Order by the Presidency of Romania.
Mihai Constantinescu
Professional choreographer and dancer, international judge with vast experience in dance competitions in Romania and Europe.
Noemi Papp
Expert in ballroom and Latin dance, with extensive experience in national and international competitions in Romania. Brings a refined perspective and passion for the elegance of ballroom dance.
Oana Patricea
Athlete and professional in ballroom and Latin dance, with numerous awards in national and international competitions. An elegant presence and rich experience bringing rigour and passion to the competition jury.
Alina Ciceo
Over 30 years of activity as a teacher, choreographer and performer. Cultural diplomat under the Ballet Beyond Borders programme (USA), teacher at the Octavian Stroia Choreography and Dramatic Arts High School Cluj and at the Faculty of Theatre and Film Cluj.

Participation fees are set per person, regardless of the number of events entered. Entry to the performance hall is by ticket only — 25 RON / 5 EUR per day.
